One of my favorite traditions with Joe during the Christmas season is taking a trip up to Asheville, NC to the Omni Grove Park Inn to view their Gingerbread House Display. It is fascinating the art that creative individuals can create with gingerbread. The winning piece of art always takes my breath away and this year was not an exception.
The Omni Grove Park Inn is a stunning resort surrounded by absolutely picturesque views of the magical Blue Ridge Mountains. The Grove Park Inn features a spa, picturesque dining, etc.
Admission to see the Gingerbread houses is absolutely free, they just ask for a donation of $20 for parking, the Grove Park Inn is so popular parking may be hard to find, so just keep that in mind if you plan to make a visit!
One of my favorite things to do while at the Grove Park Inn is to relax in front of one of their many enormous fireplaces and enjoy a house-made hot chocolate. The Grove Park Inn truly wins in my book for creating a magical atmosphere for the holiday season.
This year, Joe and I were lucky enough to make a trek there even during his busy medical school season to attend a medical conference! Any conference at the Grove Park Inn is worth it in my book! I didn’t capture quite as many photos as I had hoped, but the experience was as always a pleasure.
